Isfahan rug is woven with Persian knot and silk is used as a rug.
Isfahan carpet designs are mostly larch and bergam, and tree, Islamic, flower,
hunting and archeological designs make up most of the carpet designs in Isfahan.
Coordination, proportion and color variation, especially cheerful colors in dark
and light spectra, short lint, counts from 1 to 2, use of Persian knot, attached
headband and often two paddles and lulu are also features of Isfahan
carpet weaving.
Isfahan Carpet Technical Information
The most common node in this region is the asymmetric node or Persian node. Its
vertical nodes are generally of the vertical type used in rural and urban areas.
The plating is in the form of two thick and thin nodes.
Isfahan carpet buds are woven together with the texture of the carpet. Isfahan
carpets are fine-grained and high-density produced in good quality, generally
reaching 35 to 80 ridge and sometimes higher.

Master Fathollah Habibian Naeini, Mofidi Brothers, Haj Reza Ghanbari,
Jalal Bandeh Ali are the most famous producers of this rug. Famous designers can
also be mastered by Behzad, Sultan Mohammad, Sayed Ali, designers in the Safavid
era. Rashtian, Reza Shakeri, Isa Bahadori, Asghar Bayat are contemporary
designers.
